The World Bank reports Argentina’s GDP per capita at US$14,898.09 in 2025, measured in current US dollars. This is the latest year available in its series as of October 10, 2026. The purchasing-power-parity measure for the same year was 32,586.63 current international dollars. These are different measures, not competing estimates of the same dollar amount. (Nominal data, PPP data)

For a public spreadsheet, start with the five-year nominal table below. Keep PPP values in a separate column or separately identified rows so readers cannot mistake them for US dollars.

Argentina GDP per capita, 2021–2025

Year GDP per capita (current US$)
2021 10,738.02
2022 13,962.19
2023 14,261.85
2024 13,969.78
2025 14,898.09

Source: World Bank, World Development Indicators, series NY.GDP.PCAP.CD. Values are rounded to two decimal places. The API reports a database update date of October 8, 2026; the table was checked on October 10, 2026.

The 2025 value is about 6.6% higher than 2024, calculated from the unrounded source values. That is a change in current-dollar GDP per person—not an inflation-adjusted growth rate. The World Bank defines this series as GDP divided by the population, expressed at current prices without adjustment for price changes over time. It is not average pay or household take-home income. (Indicator definition)

Choose the measure before comparing

Use a column heading that answers both “which measure?” and “which unit?”

  • Nominal GDP per capita, current US$: use the table above for a current-dollar comparison. Match the year and indicator across countries.
  • PPP GDP per capita, current international $: use this for comparisons that account for differences in national price levels. Argentina’s 2025 value is 32,586.63, but it should not be labeled “US$32,586.63.” PPP equalizes purchasing power across countries; this current-price series is not inflation-adjusted over time. (PPP definition)
  • Real GDP per capita: use a constant-price series to examine changes in output per person over time. The World Bank’s NY.GDP.PCAP.KD indicator uses constant 2015 US dollars. Do not append it to the nominal series as though the units were identical. (Constant-price definition)

Prepare the spreadsheet for publication

Use one row per country, year and indicator. A compact structure is:

Field What to store
country_code ARG
year Numeric observation year, such as 2025
indicator_code NY.GDP.PCAP.CD for the nominal series
value A numeric value, without currency symbols or thousands separators
unit current US$
source World Bank — World Development Indicators
retrieved_at 2026-10-10 for this snapshot

Keep the captured source precision in the working file and round only the displayed values. Keep the observation year separate from the retrieval date: data retrieved in 2026 can describe 2025. Record the source link in the dataset’s accompanying notes, and retain the downloaded snapshot so later revisions can be compared.

Give the public page a specific title, such as “Argentina GDP per capita, 2021–2025 — current US dollars.” If you add PPP or forecasts later, identify their measures, sources and status explicitly rather than merging them into the nominal column.

TablePage accepts CSV, TSV, XLSX and XLS files and turns an upload into a public dataset page with a shareable link and filterable table. Upload only the cleaned public-data file—not a workbook containing private notes or sensitive information. Before sharing, check that years and values are numeric, the unit remains visible, and the source notes travel with the table.
